This Privacy Policy describes how Connor Hibbs Photography LLC DBA Sideline Photo Collective by Connor Hibbs Photography ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our high-volume sports photography services. We operate in compliance with the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA) and federal regulations to ensure the safety and privacy of athletes and their families in Colorado Springs and El Paso County.
2. Information We Collect
To provide individualized, secure galleries, we collect the following:
- Parent/Guardian Contact Information: Name, email address, and phone number (719-332-7313).
- Athlete Information: Name, jersey number, and team/organizational association.
- Photographs: Digital images captured during scheduled sporting events.
- Biometric Data: Our software uses automated facial recognition technology to analyze facial geometry (face maps) for the sole purpose of matching athletes to their specific photos.
3. Use of Information
We use the collected data strictly for the following business purposes:
- Identifying and sorting photos to ensure parents receive only images of their own children.
- Delivering secure, password-protected digital galleries.
- Processing orders for physical prints or digital downloads.
- Communicating regarding gallery access or order status.
- We do not sell, rent, or lease any personal information or biometric data to third parties.
4. Biometric Data & Colorado Privacy Rights
In accordance with Colorado HB 24-1130, we maintain strict protocols for biometric identifiers:
- Purpose: Facial geometry is analyzed only for automated sorting and is never used for surveillance or identity theft.
- Storage & Security: Data is stored using industry-standard encryption.
- Retention & Deletion: Biometric templates are automatically deleted once the sorting process is complete or within 12 months of the photo shoot. We do not maintain long-term biometric databases of minors.
5. Children’s Privacy (COPPA & CPA Compliance)
We take the privacy of minors seriously.
- Under 13: Consistent with COPPA, we require verifiable parental consent before processing data for children under 13.
- Ages 13–17: Per the 2025 Colorado Privacy Act amendments, we exercise a "duty of care" to ensure data processing does not result in physical or financial harm to minors.
- Secure Access: Galleries are protected via unique access codes or face-match verification to prevent unauthorized viewing.
6. Your Rights
You (and your athlete, depending on age) have the following rights under Colorado law:
- Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we have collected.
- Right to Correction: Request that we fix any inaccuracies in your contact or athlete information.
- Right to Deletion: Request the permanent deletion of your athlete's photos and data from our active systems.
